Steampunk Necklaces are some of my favorite pieces of Steampunk Jewelry and I love making them.
Each necklace is completely one-of-a-kind and highly individual. The possibilities with Steampunk, asides from a few basic touchstones, are pretty endless. Knowing your creating something new from something old, something which will truly be one-of-a-kind, is a passion of mine.
Asides from a adoration for all things Neo Victorian and Gothic, I love the fact that unlike traditional jewelry making, Steampunk allows the maker to create something brand new. Something which is not only completely fresh and inventive, but is also diverse and imaginative. As well as being an unusual nod to the past, real or imagined.
This page has been designed to showcase a few of my Steampunk Necklaces. You will find a lot more in my Etsy shop, London Particulars.
As ever, please let me know if you would like me to make a special custom piece for you.
This Red and Purple Steampunk Butterfly Necklace has been fashioned using an intricate silver-plated filigree butterfly, vintage ruby-jeweled watch movements and Siam red, Amethyst and Fuchsia Swarovski crystals. The butterfly is suspended upon an 18 inch antiquated silver finished cable chain so she shouldn’t fly away.
Attention Egyptologists and disciples of Horus (or people of exceptional taste) – the Steampunk Scarab Beetle Necklace has landed!
The necklace has been crafted using a Vintage 17 Ruby-Jeweled Watch Movement in tones of gold and silver, set upon a detailed silver-plated brass scarab made from vintage tooling.
This necklace is perfect for Steampunk Adventurers or anyone who appreciates the strange and the unusual.
This rather gorgeous, dark and unique Steampunk Necklace was created using Vintage Ruby-Jeweled Watch Movements, carefully accented with Black Diamond Swarovski Crystals for a subtle use of color and sparkle. The Watch Movement has been set upon a silver-plated brass Victorian stamped tag formed from vintage tooling.
Shiver me timbers, what manner of beast is this? Lurking in the deep, the Elder Gods of Lovecraftian legend are slithering out of the seas, one tentacle at a time.
This silver behemoth was created using a Silver-plated Brass Octopus Vintage tooling which has been thoughtfully hung upon a double silver-plated cable chain.
The Octopus, or Cthulhu as I call him, shouldn’t wriggle or writhe and may even protect you when the Elder Gods make their last stand.
This Summery Steampunk Necklace is a little different. I happen to love bees and one day, an errant bee flew down and settled upon one of my necklaces, giving me the idea to create something unique. And it didn’t sting me either, which was really kind.
This necklace was crafted using a beautiful bee in silver tones floating above a Vintage Watch Movement in gold and silver tones with Topaz Swarovski Crystals.
This Steampunk Dragonfly Necklace is inspired by horology. There is no whir of the dragonfly’s wings as she is set in silver.
The necklace is made from a Dragonfly stamping and a unique clockwork collage, mounted upon a silver-plated bezel which is sealed to protect the collage.
Silver and Gold Clockwork suspended in time.
This Hot-Pink and Fuchsia Steampunk Necklace is sure to catch the eye! And if you don’t want to catch eyes, you can slip your necklace beneath your threads where she will sizzle upon your chest.
The Necklace has been crafted a wonderfully detailed vintage fob watch movement with a rich and warm dystopian patina. The Hot-Pink and Fuchsia Swarovski Crystals accent the movement to show off its intricate workmanship.
So there you have it, seven Steampunk Necklaces, a tiny sample of the kinds of works which you will find in my shop.
